Students from Blue Coat School joined other exceptionally talented young performers from BEAP Youth Theatre last weekend as they took to the stage in a breathtaking production of Frozen the Musical, hosted at the City of Liverpool College.
From the very first notes of the opening number, the audience was completely captivated by the professionalism, confidence, and stage presence of the cast. The acting, singing, and dancing were delivered to an exceptionally high standard, rivalling that of a professional theatre production.
The cast brought the beloved story to life with emotional depth and vibrant energy. Jessica (Year 11) commanded the stage as Elsa, delivering powerful vocals with poise and beautifully capturing the character’s inner conflict. Ellen (Year 10, King David High School) portrayed Anna with warmth and charm, striking the perfect balance of humour and heart.
Asher (Year 8) impressed as the villain Hans, while Maggie(Year 12, LIPA) delighted the audience as Olaf with impeccable comic timing. Reuben(Year 11) played Kristoff with sincerity and strength, adding further depth to the performance.
The production featured stunning costumes, polished choreography, and unforgettable musical numbers, including a show-stopping rendition of “Let It Go”, which earned rapturous applause. The backstage and technical teams also deserve special recognition for their seamless scene transitions and impressive special effects — the magical ice sequences were a particular highlight.
Other members of our school community who performed included Scarlett (Year 12) as The King/Ensemble, Sophie (Year 12) in the Dance Ensemble, Siobhan (Year 8) in the Dance Ensemble, and Harriet (Year 7) as Young Anna/Ensemble.
The backstage team included Lucas (Year 11) and Max (Year 11), whose hard work behind the scenes helped ensure the production ran smoothly.
It was an evening that truly showcased the remarkable talent within our school community and left families and staff immensely proud. Congratulations to everyone involved in BEAP Youth Theatre’s outstanding production of Frozen the Musical — a wonderful celebration of dedication, creativity, and teamwork.
