100 Push-Ups-a-Day Challenge Raises Over £600 for Cancer Research UK

In the spirit of our school motto, “Not for oneself but for all,” The Blue Coat School Liverpool community has once again demonstrated the power of collective action, generosity, and compassion.

Throughout April, staff and students came together to take part in a 100 push-ups-a-day challenge in support of Cancer Research UK. The cause resonated deeply across the school community, as cancer continues to affect countless families, friends, and loved ones. By supporting vital research, the initiative aimed to help improve treatments and survival rates while raising hope for a future where cancer can be more effectively prevented and cured.

The challenge required consistency, resilience, and determination, and it was inspiring to see so many members of the school community rise to it. Whether by completing the daily challenge themselves, offering encouragement to others, or supporting the fundraising effort through donations, everyone played an important part in the campaign’s success.

Thanks to this collective effort, an impressive £621.50 was raised for Cancer Research UK.

Special thanks go to Mr Bygroves for organising the initiative so effectively, and to everyone who supported the challenge in any way. The generosity and commitment shown throughout the month reflected the very best of The Blue Coat School Liverpool community and embodied the school’s guiding principle of thinking beyond ourselves.
