The cricket season has begun positively for The Blue Coat School Liverpool, with impressive performances across several age groups.
The 1st XI secured an excellent 8-wicket victory over St Mary’s in their opening fixture. Tom G led the batting effort, retiring on 30, while Harris J produced the standout moment of the match by claiming a hat-trick in a superb bowling display.
The U12 team also enjoyed a successful start to their season with a convincing 53-run victory over Birkdale after posting an impressive total of 147 from their 20 overs. Walter was the star performer, retiring on 50 not out in his very first school game — a remarkable achievement and a promising sign for the season ahead.
These performances reflect the enthusiasm and talent within the school’s cricket programme, and we look forward to following the teams’ progress throughout the season.
