The team's remarkable journey to the title was built on determination, resilience and outstanding teamwork, culminating in an impressive eight-wicket victory in the final to secure the championship.

Blue Coat reached the final after a thrilling semi-final encounter. Batting first, the team posted an excellent total of 111 for 4 before producing a superb defensive display. With the opposition needing just 21 runs from the final five overs, the match looked finely balanced. However, disciplined bowling, sharp fielding and outstanding composure under pressure saw our players hold their nerve to claim a dramatic six-run victory.

Having reached only the second Lancashire Cup final in the school's history, the team entered the final full of confidence. They delivered another mature and controlled performance, restricting their opponents before chasing down the target with eight wickets to spare to become Lancashire champions.

This is a truly exceptional achievement and a landmark moment in Blue Coat's sporting history. Every player demonstrated tremendous skill, commitment and sportsmanship throughout the competition, representing the school with pride and distinction.
