Technical Technician

We are seeking a versatile and motivated Technical Technician. 

This is a varied role combining IT support, physics technical assistance and general maintenance duties.  The successful candidate will ensure that equipment, learning spaces and resources are safe, functional and well-maintained to support effective teaching and learning. 

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students.
  • Assist with the maintenance of hardware, software, printers and networked devices.
  • Assist with setting up equipment for assemblies, lessons and events.
  • Support the management of user accounts and passwords.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies across the school.
  • Conduct routine checks.

Physics/Science Technician support:

  • Prepare materials, equipment and resources. 
  • Ensure laboratories are safe, organised and fully stocked.
  • Carry out regular checks of equipment.
  • Safely store, label and dispose of materials following safety regulations and departmental policies.

We are looking for an individual who is practical, hands-on and able to problem-solve independently.  A person who is organised, reliable and able to manage a varied workload and who is positive and has a flexible attitude.  

Experience of working within a school environment is desirable. 

35 hours per week Term-time only
Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Actual Salary Range £23,547 - £26,802 (Grade 4)
