Year 10 GCSE Hinduism students created the layout of a Hindu mandir as part of their GCSE class last week.  The students were guided by prompts and worked together as a class using problem-solving, team work and reacting to new challenges posed throughout the task.

The result was a replica of the mandir which fulfilled all the criteria expected and would allow a Hindu worshipper to visit and complete their daily obligations.

Mrs McDonnell, Head of Religious Studies said: “The GCSE students worked together brilliantly and it is hoped that this kinaesthetic approach will ensure the content of the lesson is remembered in preparation for their formal GCSE examinations.”
