The school’s Jazz Band braved the rain on Thursday 3rd July when they wowed audiences in Williamson Square in Liverpool city centre. The band was performing as part of the International Festival of Business’ School’s Cultural Festival.
The 22-piece band played a variety of up-tempo jazz and funk numbers and were greeted with prolonged and rapturous applause, and indeed some dancing from the audience which gathered as they played.
The compere, Liverpool’s famous actor Paul Duckworth, described them as a stand-out act. In addition the School’s string quartet played in the Met quarter, entertaining shoppers with a variety of classical and contemporary music.
