You will be aware that along with all other schools The Blue Coat School is now closed until further notice.  This is extremely sad and it was hard to say goodbye to our students on Friday 20th March 2020.  We clearly do not know how long this closure is for but we are already looking forward to getting back to normal and working with our students and all parts of the Blue Coat community as we should.  The school is open for children of key workers and a small number of other students.  Students are being supported at home through online learning which is being updated by staff regularly.

Alongside the academic resources available to students via the school’s VLE, we are also committed to maintaining our pastoral support for students. The well-being and welfare of our students is particularly important during this period of school closure. As well as updates and links shared on the school’s Twitter page, Key Stage Leaders will be in regular contact with Year Groups via email and our Learning Support Team have created an easy to follow resource bank to support students and their families, which also includes details of a range of external support services available and can be located on the VLE.

If you have any serious concerns regarding the welfare of a student, please contact the school via welfare@bluecoatschool.org.uk.

If your child requires any ICT support they can send their request to the ICT team between the hours of 8.30 am to 4.00 pm via helpdesk@bluecoatschool.org.uk.
