Our Year 12 students were privileged to receive a lecture from Professor Brian Black from the Politics, Religion and Ethics department at Lancaster University yesterday. Professor Black’s visit centred on presenting an enlightening lecture on the topic of Hindu Upanishads and their Philosophical implications to Religious Studies and Philosophy students.

Following his lecture he answered questions from students seeking advice on applying to university, providing helpful information and insight on what to include in a Personal Statement. Professor Black’s visit culminated with a generous donation of an academic source from his department, to use within class as well as providing additional reading for Year 13 students on the subject of Hinduism.

We hope to continue to work with Brian and his department in the future.
