“The Parents’ Association would like to say another thank you to everyone who contributed to the Christmas Raffle and are delighted to announce that we raised over £2000, all of which will be donated back to school to enhance the Blue Coat experience for our students. Since our last e-newsletter we have contributed funds towards a number of school initiatives including the Design Ventura ‘Designosaur’ competition, a Duke of Edinburgh licence donation, the Raspberry Pi maths and Computing competition, buying classroom Visualisers to enhance the students learning experience, plus a Home Cinema workshop for French and Spanish students.

“At the time of writing we are busy organising refreshments and Raffle Prizes for the 3 nights of the School Show, and after a year’s break we are all looking forward to seeing our talented actors and musicians once again. Mr Emery will be choosing a winner of the Parents’ Association sponsored prize in memory of one of our late members and friend. ‘The Gill Power award for outstanding contribution to the school show’ will be given out at the last night of Little Shop of Horrors, I’m sure this will be a very difficult choice given the dedication of all involved.

“Our next PA meeting is on Monday 9th May at 7pm, we will be scheduling an events calendar which will hopefully include a quiz night later on in the year.
