Year 7

The Blue Coat School is a mixed selective school for students aged 11 – 18, which converted to Academy status on 1st March 2012. We are over 300 years old so we are rich in tradition, yet we are forward-looking in ideas and technology. Whilst we have a reputation for Academic results, there are many events and activities which make The Blue Coat School experience very exciting and rewarding.

September 2023 Admissions

The Blue Coat School will admit 180 students to Year 7 in September 2023.

Visitors are warmly invited to one session during our split Open Day on Friday 1st July.  To ensure a safe visitor experience spaces available for this event were limited, and we had to limit booking to two tickets only per family.   This event is now sold out.  You can view information regarding the school in the video links below.

Last year our Open Evening did not take place in the usual format and Year 5 students and their parents were able to click on the following links to view short videos which gave them a good insight into the broad aspects of The Blue Coat School.
