Year 7
The Blue Coat School is a mixed selective school for students aged 11 – 18, which converted to Academy status on 1st March 2012. We are over 300 years old, so we are rich in tradition, yet we are forward-looking in ideas and technology. Whilst we have a reputation for Academic results, there are many events and activities which make The Blue Coat School experience very exciting and rewarding.
September 2024 Admissions
The application and admission procedure for 2024 is now closed.
The Blue Coat School will admit 180 students to Year 7 in September 2024.
Our Open Day for Year 5 students took place on Friday 30th June.

The closing date for applications was Friday 1st September 2023 at 4 pm. Exemplar material was available to download once you had submitted your application.
The Entrance Test took place on Saturday 23 September 2023.
