Parents' Association
The Blue Coat School Parents' Association is a hugely important part of our school community.
The Liverpool Blue Coat School is proud to support an active Parent Association (PA), which plays a vital role in raising additional funds for the school and organising social functions for both students and parents.
The Blue Coat Parents' Association also provides an additional and valuable means of communication between the parents and teaching staff within the school. All students, parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the PA for the duration of their time at Blue Coat.
As a parent or carer, you have a big impact on how well your children do at school and taking an active role in the PA is one way you could help to make a difference.
We enthusiastically fundraise for a variety of projects and activities – our aim is to fund the ‘extras’ that enable our children to have the very best opportunities and education possible at Blue Coat.
Some of the school initiatives we have helped to fund include:
• Purchasing new football kits for students in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 as well as new free-standing goals
• Purchasing 5 sets of Drones used by the Physics and D&T departments as well as Go-Pro cameras
• Purchasing technical equipment for the Music department including a mixing desk, amps, microphones, stands and cables
• Over £5000 given to purchase a new wireless microphone system used for LAMDA exams, school shows, assemblies and awards ceremonies
• Purchasing a new Yamaha piano
• Over £5000 contributed towards the refurbishment of the 6th Form Bistro
• Purchasing 4 new table tennis tables
We do this by organising quiz nights, wine tasting evenings, discos, race nights, art exhibitions, Christmas and summer raffles and so much more.
As well as raising funds we also provide crucial support to the school, such as serving refreshments at school events such as the Christmas Carol Service, School Show and Summer concert.
