Each A-Level has ten hours of contact time a fortnight, and students are expected to complete a similar amount of work independently. This could be set homework, pre-reading, reading beyond the curriculum, or revising notes. With this in mind, we strongly recommend studying three A-Levels. The decision to study a fourth subject should be carefully considered, and students must meet our higher entry requirements.

Alongside A-Levels, students will have Personal Development lessons (one hour per fortnight in year 12, rising to two hours per fortnight in year 13).

To enrich their studies, students complete compulsory work experience in year 12 and are encouraged to volunteer within and beyond the school community. They will also complete the Extended Project Qualification, much of which is done independently.
