I am delighted to share the excellent news that Blue Coat has been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence Award. This prestigious recognition reflects the strength of our inclusive practice, our commitment to equity and diversity, and the way we ensure that every student is supported to flourish. The award follows a rigorous two-day assessment during which the assessor observed our ethos in action, spoke to students, staff, and governors, and examined our systems and outcomes. They commended our relentless focus on well-being, our inclusive curriculum, and the strong culture of support across the school community. Being designated as a Centre of Excellence means that we are not only meeting the highest standards in inclusive practice, but we are also recognised as a school that actively contributes to the wider educational community through collaboration and sharing of best practice. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the resilience and enthusiasm of our students, and the ongoing support from our parents and carers. I want to extend my thanks to you, our Trustees, for your consistent commitment to our vision and values—this award is as much yours as it is ours. We will continue to build on this success as we move forward in our mission to ensure that Blue Coat remains a place where all can thrive.
