We recently welcomed back Old Blue Mark Johnson from the Class of 2011.
Mark, who is a PhD student at the University of Manchester, provided our Year 12 physics students with a great insight into studying physics at university, drawing upon his undergraduate and postgraduate experiences at one of the country’s top institutions, Durham University.
Mark also touched upon his own exciting PhD research and his role on the ALPHA antimatter experiment, conducted at CERN.
We would like to thank Mark for taking time out from his research to encourage our talented physicists to pursue a career in STEM. We wish him all the best as he continues with his PhD studies.
