Join us in celebrating Mr C’s 60 year diamond association with The Blue Coat School.
In 1958 Mr Keith Caulkin joined the School as a student before leaving in 1965 to study physics at the University of Manchester. Since returning in 1975 to teach and share his passion for physics, Mr C has inspired countless students during his 41 year teaching career.
Despite retiring in 2016, Mr Caulkin continues to play an active role within the School, from volunteering in the Development Team from where he engages with our Old Blues, preparing students for the British Physics Olympiad, to overseeing Badminton club. In 2016 he was awarded an MBE for services to education. Mr C is Blue Coat through and through!
Join us on Saturday 13th October from 6.30 p.m. at The Blue Coat School as we celebrate 60 years of Mr C. The man himself will be hosting a Blue Coat quiz, demonstrating physics experiments to take you down memory lane, making physics themed cocktails and more.
This is a free event with a complimentary welcome drink and buffet for all guests. We will also be raising funds for our new Learning Resource Centre with all funds raised from further refreshments going directly towards our Library Appeal. There will able be a raffle and other fundraising activities to support the appeal.
We will be compiling a ‘This is Your Life’ book of Blue Coat memories to give to Mr C at the event so if you would like to share any memories, photographs or include a message please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 1st October.
