Sadly, during this time we may be affected by the very worst aspects of COVID-19. Many people will be touched by bereavement and will not be able to grieve as they would in regular times. It is very important to us that we are able to reach out to our Blue Coat community in their time of need and offer any support that we can.

We have developed a Bereavement Resource File on the Learning Support page of the VLE for students. The file includes videos, lists of helplines and further advice and guidance when coping with yours or your loved ones grief:

In addition to this information an email will be sent out to all students today with the following links to websites:

As a school, we are committed to offering any support that we can, not only through bereavement, but in general through these unprecedented times. If you have any concerns about your child or are aware a young person is struggling please reach out to the following email: welfare@bluecoatschool.org.uk and a member of staff will respond to you.
