As part of our Blue Coat For All project we are seeking a team of volunteers to help catalogue and digitise our extensive archive. From our collection of Squirrel magazines dating back to the first edition in 1955, to photographs of Blue Coat days gone by including this fantastic snapshot of John Lennon’s father, Alfred Lennon pictured front right, taken during a Blue Coat day out on the River Mersey.
Thanks to support from HLF our archive will be stepping online and into the twenty first century, making it accessible to all.
So if you have a passion for heritage, enjoy being part of a team and want to find out more about Blue Coat’s long and illustrious history we would love to hear from you!
More information about this new opportunity can be found on the poster below, or by contacting our Blue Coat For All project manager Peter Elson at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0151 733 1407 ext. 207. If you would like to join our team of volunteers please contact Peter by Friday 26th April.
This project will get underway in early May and full training will be provided by an archive expert.
