This month a very special Old Blue celebrated a very special birthday!
Kendrick Rannard attended Blue Coat as a boarder from 1924 to 1931, with his brother Ronald and sisters Mona and Dorothy. During his time at Blue Coat Kendrick regularly performed with the famous School band, entertaining guests on the Welsh coast cruise liners.
To mark this special occasion we enlisted the help of 7 Graham to wish Kendrick a very happy 104th birthday!
Kendrick returned to Blue Coat shortly after his celebrating his 100th birthday and this summer he took part in our Blue Coat For All oral history project.
When asked what the secret to a long life is, Kendrick instinctively remarked “red wine.”
Happy birthday Kendrick!
