Thanks to our Development Fund supporters every pound donated enables us to provide our students with a wealth of extra-curricular activities, designed to help them achieve their potential and ambitions.

Despite spring term coming to an unexpected early end there are a number of Development Fund projects due to get underway when our students return, thanks to our Development Fund supporters and Parents’ Association. Here are just some of the latest Development Fund projects to be approved.

Key Stage 3 – 5: A new hi-tech ultra high definition visualiser for our Art department

This new piece of equipment will enable practical demonstrations to be transmitted to students via the classroom white board, ensuring far better engagement and understanding of the practical techniques being demonstrated.

Key Stage 5: Yoga sessions to support our Sixth Form students physical and mental well-being

To enhance our Key Stage 5 enrichment programme, Sixth Form students will have access to a six week Yoga course. Delivered by a local professional, the programme is designed to relieve symptoms of stress, enhance mental health and well-being and improved muscle strength, endurance, energy and vitality.

Key Stage 3 – 5: Curriculum and extra-curricular activities to return to astro turf pitch

Thanks to our Development Fund supporters our astro turf pitch will receive a major refurbishment, which will enhance its performance and extend its longevity. A vital resource for our PE department, this high quality learning space is home to a wide variety of curriculum and popular extra-curricular activities, from Hockey to Tennis. By ensuring our students have access to range of sports encourages them to pursue active and healthy lifestyles.

Key Stage 4: GCSE History students tap into online revision resource

Students studying GCSE History now have access to a fantastic new online resource, design to deepen their knowledge and understanding of key topics through engaging and thought-provoking narratives. Our young historians also have a wealth of source material at their finger tips.
