We are incredibly grateful to our community of Old Blues who generously offer their time to support our students through our Careers Information Advice and Guidance (CIAG) programme. As we look ahead to the summer term our attention turns to our Year 12 mock virtual interview programme.

With our Year 12 students currently exploring their A Level choices and next steps after Blue Coat, our mock interviews will take place from Monday 6 June to Friday 17 June, from 6-8pm on Microsoft Teams.

With this event taking place online, we hope that distance is no longer a barrier and Old Blues from across the UK and around the world can get involved and support this series.

A number of safeguarding measures will be in place throughout. Parents will be provided with the date and time of their child’s interview and they will be encouraged to be present in the interview room. Volunteers will also receive a copy of our student online behaviour policy. Our Administration Team will be responsible for scheduling each interview and participants will not be able to record their session.

Each interview will be 25 minutes long with 5 minutes for verbal feedback. There will also be a summary sheet for volunteers to complete, either electronically or handwritten. A guidance pack, including student CVs will be provided in advance.

If you would like to get involved and support the programme, we would be very grateful if you could contact our Deputy Head Mrs Sarah O’Rourke at highlighting your profession and the dates and times that you are available.

Finally, if you are unable to volunteer this time, but are keen to get involved with our CIAG programme, please click here to access our short alumni volunteer form.

Please also consider our ‘5 minutes with…’ digital series. Featuring Old Blues working across the world in a variety of sectors, the series is a fantastic tool for all our students as they consider their next steps after Blue Coat. If you have any questions or would like to support the School in other ways, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Development Office.
