On Wednesday morning fifteen Year 13 physics’ students took part in the first round of the prestigious and challenging British Physics Olympiad 2014, sitting the first paper of two hours and forty minutes, in the grand surroundings of the Board Room. Despite a few nerves our students were well prepared thanks to help from Mr Caulkin, who provided students with past papers to practice. With over 1,600 able physics’ students taking part nationwide, the competition will be tough.
There are gold, silver, bronze and commendation awards, with the results expected in the last week of this term.
Mr Caulkin and the rest of the Blue Coat School community wish them every success in the British Physics Olympiad 2014 .
