The Blue Coat School is extremely proud of our students GCSE results.

Our students have worked very hard over the last five years and have responded well to all of the challenges that our staff have set them.

Of all grades awarded:

    • 42.3% were A*
    • 77.8% were A
    • 83% of students made more than expected progress in both English and Mathematics

Mr Pennington, headteacher said: “I am delighted to see our students reap the rewards of their determination, commitment and positive attitudes. We can be proud once again of what our team of students, staff and parents have achieved together.”

Chair of Governors Julia Shaw added her support stating: “Once again, we celebrate the incredibly impressive achievements of our students whose results are their rightful reward for their hard work – not just over the last year – but from the day they walked through our doors in Year 7.”

We talk a lot about ‘Team Blue Coat’ – and nowhere is the power of the partnerships between our students, their parents / carers and their teachers more convincingly demonstrated than every year on Results Day when we,  yet again, applaud our students.

We look forward with excitement to our students future success as they embark on their A Levels in the coming weeks.

A full break down of this year’s GCSE results will be available in September.
