We are so proud of our Year 11 students for achieving excellent GCSE results, in spite of the Covid-19 health crisis and the cancellation of their exams.

Our Year 11 students, who have been away since mid-March as directed by the Government, attended School to receive their GCSE results on Thursday 20 August, using an appointment system to ensure social distancing.

Their success is reflected in the fact that almost all of them will stay on for the 6th Form and take their A Levels at Blue Coat.

For Headteacher Mrs Scilla Yates:

“It has been a real delight to see our Year 11 students back through our doors today, albeit briefly to collect their GCSE results. It was clear they were also delighted to see each other again after so many months.

Once again, our students have received some excellent results and we are so very proud that the vast majority are choosing to remain with us for their 6th Form education in September.

Following some anxious and difficult months for them they are now able to focus on preparing for their A Level courses with us and begin the next steps in their education. We very much look forward to welcoming them into the 6th form in a couple of weeks’ time.”
