Student Support for Parents

Welcome Parents and Carers to Student Support for Parents

Hello Parents and Carers,

At The Blue Coat School, your child’s safety and wellbeing always come first. We know that when young people feel safe, supported, and have positive mental health, they are better able to thrive, achieve their best, and live out the values that are so important to our school community.

We’re really pleased to offer you this dedicated space, where you can find trusted and practical wellbeing support, advice, and resources. We understand that searching online for help can sometimes feel overwhelming — so we’ve gathered helpful information here to make things a little easier for you and your family.

We encourage you to take some time to explore what’s on this page. We hope you find it useful and reassuring. While this space is mainly designed for parents and carers, if you think your child would benefit from looking at the student version of ‘Student Support at Home,’ we’d recommend sitting down to explore it together. The Student Support Team has put together a wide range of resources and tips, available on the Student Intranet, to help support positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.

If you have any worries or concerns about your child’s wellbeing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. You can contact the school by emailing welfare@bluecoatschool.org.uk between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, and someone from our pastoral team will get back to you within 24 hours.

If your child is in crisis or you need urgent help with a mental health concern, please contact the CAMHS Crisis Team on 0151 293 3577 — they’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thank you for working with us to help keep every child safe, supported, and ready to reach their full potential.
