On Tuesday 21st November The Blue Coat School will recognise and celebrate the achievements of Year 9, 10 and 11 students who have successfully completed their Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards.

With over 300 students currently enrolled, The Duke of Edinburgh programme remains one of the most popular extra-curricular activities at the School. Working towards their award has involved completing challenging practice and qualifying expeditions, volunteering, maintaining their health and fitness through a new sport or activity, and developing new skills such as learning an instrument.

Throughout this challenging programme our students have demonstrated their commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh’s key components as well as becoming more confident and independent individuals.

Prior to the ceremony, which will start at 6.00 p.m. in Shirley Hall, refreshments will be served in the Boardroom from 5.30 p.m.
