On Wednesday 23rd May over 30 students from Year 7 to Year 10 took to Shirley Hall stage for a spectacular show of slick, innovative and impressive dancing.

Coached by a fantastic trio of choreographers from Year 10 and Year 12 our students danced through the decades to the sounds of Singing in the Rain, Footloose and Uptown Funk. So prominent throughout the show was the sheer exuberance, love and joy of dancing exuding from our performers, with each dancer totally absorbed in the music. Enthused by our dancers the audience clapped and sung along.

Many hours of rehearsal and practice certainly paid dividends and we have to thank our P.E. staff Miss Fitchie and Miss Baker for proposing and delivering this fantastic event.

Following the show it was announced by the headteacher that this event will become an annual fixture in the Blue Coat calendar. We look forward yet more fabulous, dazzling and thrilling performances next year.
