The summer term heralds the start of the cricket season and the annual Lancashire Schools’ Cricket Cup got underway on Friday 4th May, with our under 15 team facing Blackpool’s Arnold King Edward Queen Mary School.

The team, supported by Head of P.E. Mr Phelan, produced a strong innings, with one player adding an impressive 119 runs to the team’s scorecard. In a display of his all round talent, his bowling figures stood at 4 overs, 13 runs and 3 wickets.

Winning the match by 90 runs each member of the team made a fantastic contribution, displaying outstanding technical skills and mental strength throughout.
